Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: March 30, 2009, 07:24:56 PM »

Took off this morning to see if I could still ride after being down for awhile with some health issues. I also needed to check my bike out after replacing the rear tire with a DarkSide and new bearings before headin' out this week to Texas. I'm glad to report both the Valkyrie and I did pretty good today. Hooked up with Wimp and Harley Joe for a ride through the stompin' grounds these guys are retired and do nothing but whatever they want everyday some good ol'boys that love to ride.Heres a shot of  my bike and Harley Joes at the hook-up point Sagebrush Steak House this afternoon in Oak Ridge , Tennessee.

Joe,

Glad you are feeling better.  Don't push yourself to hard yet, your still healing.

How is Presley doing?  At least your getting some more time with her out of all this.

Presley is doing good she is growin' like a weed my daughter took this picture this morning. The blanket was a gift from Charlie ( Land Elephant ) . I'll try to not push it but I'm not made to lay around in the house it was drivin' me crazy and it was sweet gettin' out on the bike today.

I understand. I had back surgery in 98, was home for 6 weeks, I was climbing the walls.

Glad to hear your feeling better.  Glad Presley is doing well.

Good for you Joe. Looks like you got some great riding in!

I'm down with knee replacement parts right now. The mechanic that put the new ones in said the old ones were pretty deformed. Kinda like getti' new meat and brakes and stuff, 'cept I gotta' wait 4 to 6 weeks for the suspension parts to get back to normal. Living in Massachusetts and having survived the winter of 09, it kinda' sucks. (which is an understatement)

So, anyway.. take it easy, don't over-do it and kep it one day at a time on those friggen' cancer sticks.

Glad to see you got some wind ... which always do you some good. Of course, like others have said both on the board and off ... don't push it too hard, you are still mending.

And that's a great picture of Dr. Presley. I bet she enjoys making sure you are getting better.

Great to see you back on the road Joe.  cooldude

Don't push it too hard; give that lung (and other innerds) time to heal.

Hope the weather improves for your Texas trip.  Smiley
