I've thought about setting up a little home operation and fabbing up exhaust tips for our fat ladies. My only concern is that once I start I'll have to get somewhere in the neighborhood  $150-$200 a pair to make it worth my time after the cost of materials. I would be making them in 7 styles: straight, slash cut, balony cut, turn down, turn out and turn down and out at a 45. The straight cut tips would also have a rolled edge to gve them a nice finished look. And of course they will all be chromed.

Anyway, I'm not looking to sell anything with this posting, just looking for opinions. Then again if your opinion is "Gimme some!!!" message me.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is: would it be worth my time?

This is just my .02, but sounds like a lot of work and $$ just to get set up, I don't think there is enough of a demand to justify the cost. A lot of folks are using the 4" truck stacks, and one of our venders is making tips.
Sounds like you will be making the full length 18" tips that bolt onto the stock exhaust, you might look at the Airflow web site and see if they already make what you are planning on making.
I am sure others will chime in.

That's about the same kind of thing that I was going to do, but a little better.  Personally I don't like their straight tips, I'd rather have the ege rolled. I think their stacks come down too far and would scrape on hard corners, plus I don't like the way they look. Also they aren't offering turn out tips, angled turn-outs, or slash cuts.

I think that what I would be able to product would be competative with them I'll have to ook at what It will really cost me. Maybe if I can get the out at $150 shipped I'll make a few sets and see hw they do.
