This video from Military.com is just incredible.

The story is about Channing Moss, who was impaled by a live RPG during a Taliban ambush while on patrol. Army protocol says that medivac choppers are never to carry anyone with a live round in him. Even though they feared it could explode, the flight crew said damn the protocol and flew him to the nearest aid station. Again, protocol said that in such a case the patient is to be put in a sandbagged area away from the surgical unit, given a shot of morphine and left to wait (and die) until others are treated. Again, the medical team ignored the protocol. Here's a short video put together by the Military Times, which includes actual footage of the surgery where Dr. John Oh, a Korean immigrant who became a naturalized citizen and went to West Point , removed the live round with the help of volunteers and a member of the EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) team. Moss has undergone six operations but is doing well at home in Gainesville , GA. I think you'll find the video absolutely remarkable.

The members of our military amaze me.  It is hard for me to believe their own government officials would deny them their right to vote, just to increase the chances of their party winning.  I'm sure I'll be labeled an aluminum foil hat wearer (they don't make tin foil, I wear aluminum) by those that feel all is fair in politics, but to deny the very people that are fighting to protect your rights??  Hangings too good for them!

Seen this video before and watched again.

Heroism at it's finest.

The folks in charge of this administration will do anything to maintain thier grip on power.

Military personal vote overwhelmingly conservative and those are the people liberals

hate.

Like you and me Skinhead.

We are targets of the progressive liberals.

Glad to be a target for those that hate freedom and glad to be on the RIGHT SIDE.

i had heard about this story and its the first time that i saw the video,it really is an overwelming act of courage by a medical team, well done to those guys.

I have a member of my team at work who was taken out by an IED in Iraq,i sent him home today (with pay) he was not looking too well, they are still taking bits of shrapnell out of him, sometimes the pieces come up to the skin and he picks them out, other times he has to go and get a surgeons knife,12 years or so after it happened. The price that our servicemen pay is too high

I couldn't agree more, but what really frosts my ass is that the politicians all have this great medical care for them and their families, great retirement bennies, and all the other crap they vote upon themselves, and our wounded vets get such lousy care.  I don't know how they sleep at night.
