Ya I do know  cooldude

It's just way too easy to villify someone on the net for disagreeing or whatever. The net lacks a true human interface...what you get when you're face to face with someone or even on the phone and voice to voice. It's almost like, "Your pain?...can't see it from my house so I'm saying whatever I want." It's de-humanizing.  Best to keep things lite out here. JMHO

I'm thinking the same thing.  I like to read members posts some of the time. Since I no longer have a Valk though and many posts turn into religious or political, I sometimes wonder why I even bother.
Even jokes aren't safe anymore . I even gave some thought to posting this.

It sure is funny that VRCC events including Inzane, IMO, are much different.  Evidently people seem to be more polite face to face and the discussions stay on riding .

May others follow your lead, Mark and gain your insight, Chili.

There are some 938 members who have logged in during the past ten days (and likely at least that many viewers who didn't bother to log in).  Of those there are probably less than a dozen that insist on casting a contentious tone to the board.  Interestingly, the non-Valk riders are over represented in that group.

I think I know the solution, and a lot of others think they know the solution also, but I'm not sure we would like the result.

It's an interesting mix of ingredients that makes edible chocolate so delicious.  An excess of either the bitter or the sweet renders the result distasteful.

Life, and maybe the message board, is like a box of chocolates.   Smiley

Just think, we are now raising a generation of children who communicate in this manner a large portion of the time, e-mail, text, myspace, facebook....... I worry that they are losing the art of conversation.

I find myself doing the same thing.  I read a post, get worked up.  Write something, delete it, rewrite it.   I did it last nite... again.

Diversity is good, I keep saying that.  But, I don't do well with name calling, being generalized as a state full of "idiots," as I saw in one post.    At that point, I have a tendency to want to stand up and say "how dare you?"

There you go...  Now, I have started deleting part of my post.

Probably the best way to put it Daniel.   I have other things to do than to read the diatribe of a few people that I whole heartedly disagree with.  Yet, I support their right to think that way and voice their opinion.   I also have the right to move on and not read it!  I do that often!!

I look at these post as if it was TV or the radio...if I do not find it entertaining, I change the channel...I will go back and read some if not all of them, sure I wish there were more about rides and bikes...and yes, BOOBIES...but Willow and his crew are doing a great job of parenting us...so I learn everyday...that people are different than me, and trust me, that is a good thing.

Willow after all that talk of chocolate, I am getting hungry!

Not to steal the thread, but I like chocolate covered caramel...

What do you like?

Dark chocolate, Big.  The darker the better.  Well, up to a point at least.  I especially like a dark chocolate syrup drizzled over a very specific ** text removed by request **, but then let's not hijack this thread.   Wink

I had the title:
Quote
An atheist goes fishing . . . JOKE
I had the post:
Quote
Deja vu

An atheist was spending a quiet day fishing when suddenly the Loch Ness monster attacked his boat. In one easy flip, the beast tossed him and his boat at least a hundred feet into the air. It then opened its mouth, waiting below to swallow them both. As the man sailed head over heels and started to fall towards the open jaws of the ferocious beast, he cried out, "Oh, my God! Help me!"

Suddenly, the scene froze in place and as the atheist hung in midair, a booming voice came out of the clouds and said, "I thought you didn't believe in Me!"

"God, come on, give me a break!" the man pleaded, "Just seconds ago, I didn't believe in the Loch Ness monster either!"
But I couldn't pull the trigger.
