Has anyone modified an interstate by moving the trunk forward and eliminating the passenger seating area?

Thinking about the possibilities of it on mine and wondering about things to consider and the difficulties encountered.

Seems to me I saw one in the process at Inzane 8 in Johnson City two years ago.

I went to Inzane X this year, was gassin up at that station just
downstreet from ground zero, in pulls vrcc member Wizard,
had the nicest flames paint-job I have seen. While we were
gabbin he showed me that big trunk moved into the passenger seat,
And, the trunk lifts up so the Tourer bag lids would clear the
trunk, smooth.

Thanks for the response.  I know Wizard quite well.  He and I spent the afternoon today discussing it and trying to figure out how we could make it work.

With his experience on modifying his we think we can do the Interstate too.

Hey Ray,

When Janet and I were perusing the Street Vibrations Rally in Reno with El Cazador & Jan, I found these guys.  They are HD-centric, but you might glean something useful from them.

Their website doesn't show much detail, but the frame the tourpack slides on looked like it provided adjustments in 1" increments, or so.

Cool video, but don't show it to Charlie or Phyllis...   Wink

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I think this is the bike that was at Johnson City.  This issue has come up repeatedly over the past year or so.  I stole this picture from another member (Oss, maybe?) in one of those threads.  I think it belongs to one of the guys at Carolina Bike & Trike (although - I'm shooting from memory here, so I could be WAY off).

I am definitely interested in the outcome of your bike as I have thought about doing this for a while now.  PLEASE post pictures of the process!
