I occasionally forget to cancel my turn signals, which can be very dangerous.  On my Triumph America I found an aftermarket relay that you can adjust to turn off after 60 seconds or so.  It was a very easy install, just unplug the Triumph relay and plug in the aftermarket relay.

Does anyone know if there's such a relay available for the Valkyrie?  I would certainly be interested in one if it was available.

My 1985 Honda v65 has self cancelling signals.  I wonder if the smarter folks here could figure out what parts would be needed from it to make our valks self cancel?  Fudgie, "turnt".  I think you can speak southern!

I use a Kisan SignalMinder and a loud buzzer (Radio Shack) I have mounted under my tank. My system cancels the signal light after a period of time and it also has a loud signal while the lights are flashing. When the lights are canceled the tone on my buzzer changes pitch reminding me to cancel the signal switch by pushing it inwards once. If I'm a long time at a light the signal cancels and I can hear the pitch change which reminds me to activate the signals again.

I like the system I have and would have a hard time rmembering without it. I followed a bike today for miles with his signal flashing and was grateful that doesn't happen to me.

The signal minder is exactly what I was looking for.  I'll just have to check to see where the relay is located on my Valk and make sure I get the right replacement relay.  I also had a V-65 Magna (1984) which had self cancelling turn signals and a gear indication light.  Neither are critical but both would be very convenient.

I replaced my older model Kisan signalminder with a new improved model that can be set to blink the signals a predetermined time but will stop the timer as long as the brakes are applied so sitting at a redlight it will not time out and turn the signals off. Mine is set for 30 seconds which I think that is the longest setting.

+1 on the Kisan SignalMinder. I've been using it on my Interstate for years now and am very happy. I also have the turn signals as running lights and plugged in their VectraLights which are attached to my mirrors. I'm told they are very visible. Good product(s) from a good company.
