Got'a leak, which I thought to be the upper radiator hose.  BUT as it turns out, it seems to be the right (throttle side) side lower coolant hose fitting.  What I'm talking about is the actual metal pipe that comes out of the head, that the hose that comes from the water pump attaches to.  It seems to be a "press-fit".  The leak is coming from the base of the metal pipe.  It's OEM and at 228K.  Has anyone else experienced this type of leak and if so what kind of fix worked??
TIA

Looks like there is an O ring leaking should pull right out and replace the Oring and you should be good to go ..

Thanx.  It didn't occur to me that there might be an O ring there, just thought it to be a press fit.
Now if I can "getter" done without stripping or breaking any nuts and/or bolts,
. Thanx again

Do I read that to mean you have 228k miles on your bike??   Impressive.  What other kind of issues have you had over the years (other than bearings, tires etc).

Other than the usual tires, brakes, rotors, bearings, u-joints all considered to be wear items, the only unusual problem took "Chris in Crestview's" experience and instincts to find and that was a "wollered" (?) out rear wheel.  Apparently caused by an improperly installed bearing.   Yes, at 228K I'm still running the original clutch and carbs and the engine has never been open any further than to adjust the valves and I do that only every 50K or so. Even the carbs have never been touched except for three or four sync' and a dose of seafoam or Chemtool B12 about once a year.  I've used Rotella 15/40 for the last 6 or 7 years and non-syn oil for the entire 228K with changes approx.ly every 4K.  The fine phat lady has pulled a 20 CF cyclemate trailer,  packing double somewhere around 15K over the years. Of course I've never done "wheelies" or burnouts.

Apparently they leak "once" every 228k miles.  Good testament to what happens when an awesome bike like the Valkyrie is properly maintained.  Good job on your part Mr Earl  cooldude
