Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: October 22, 2010, 05:49:44 PM »

We hooked up this morning for a ride to The Cumberland Plateau ( 4 ) Valkyries. The weather was awesome today with temps in the 70's and nothing but sunshine. We rode up through The Big South Fork into historic Rugby , Tennessee made our way through Jamestown down Hwy.52 to Livingston and crossed the plateau back into Monterey.First picture is where we hook up 95 % of all our local rides start here with breakfast. We rode 225 miles today and saw some beautiful fall colors.

Bikes on " High Bridge " just outside Rugby , Tennessee on Hwy.52
Big Al's Interstate

Paul's Tourer

Greg's Interstate

Smokin'joe's BADMOJO

Here's a few pictures taken along the ride...

Next couple pictures taken at Dale Hollow Lake...

This picture looks much worse than it really was in fact this Trooper was a nice young man in his 20's who's Grand-father , Father and two brother's all work or retired for The Tennessee Highway Patrol.
We had lunch here Big Al and Paul had the catfish I did a steak ...Good food  cooldude

Joe, is that the Hardys just across the river bridge in Clinton?  I meet the Patriot Riders there sometimes.  Looks like you had a great ride.  I rode into work this morning and am waiting on a former student to call.  He likes riding with me as he doesn't know the roads and wants to follow someone until he rides them a time or two.  He rides a nice little Victory of some sort.  I believe he will grow into a bigger bike soon.  Glad you all had a good ride!

I've never been that far east on TN-52, but that will change after seeing those photos of the bridge.  Nice pics.
