Thanks to Scott problem solved, now everyone go input your location in your profile. If you don't want us to know the city at least put U.S., your state or Mars for some of you aliens.

 Lips Sealed

Edited, was: I decided to put Raymond, Andover Ks. just below my avatar. I also have a weather banner that is close anyway to home. I wish everyone would put something in here that would show where they live so it shows in their posts. I get tired of clicking on profiles and then most don't say where the home is at anyway.

My wish I guess.

Honestly Raymond, I thought I had it somewhere in mine. I guess I remembered typing it into my profile. So, after reading your post and thinking, "I've done that" I realized that I hadn't. So I did.

Thanks for the ask.

Go idea Raymond, tho I need to figure out how to display the actual location information from the profiles.  Dang templates are like a huge jigsaw puzzle.

Hey Raymond, I know where I live.  My weather banner is there and the one where I'd like to be is also.

The board now pulls that information automatically from the Location field of your profile.

So, if you put your location into the "Personal Text" field, you can remove it.

To add your location, go to:

Profile --> Forum Profile Information

Fill in the Location field.

Thanks Raymond!

I believe that I have Livingston listed on my profile.  Now the question is, how do I put the weather and picture on the profile?   Smiley

About 4 or 5 yrs. ago, someone suggested that we put our state at the end of our handle. Many folks did but as I look around the board, it seems I could be one of the few left that still has that info there.
Between the handle and the weather bar I'm pretty well pinpointed.

Mark...do a search on the weather banner....should come up with a couple of threads with "how to" info.

Here is one thread

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,822.0.html

but there are several threads talking about it...a couple of good ones.

Basically, go to one of the web sites that has the 'banner info'....pick your city....copy and past the CORRECT link info (pay close attention, lots of folks got the wrong link info)...then past that link info in your profile signature....as an image....with the proper 'code'.

like this

where i pasted this link for Montgomery
http://banners.wunderground.com/banner/gizmotimetempbig/US/AL/Montgomery.gif

in between the image code [ img ][ /img ]

so it is like this
[ img]http://banners.wunderground.com/banner/gizmotimetempbig/US/AL/Montgomery.gif
except...NO SPACES in those brackets (had to post it like this to view it as such).

hope this all makes sense. Scott might help ya' if needed. or....tell me your city....and i can PM you the actual "code" to put in your profile signature.

on mine, i actully have some sizing code in the [ img] part too...to change the size. I have the following

to change the size.......
