DS-0009 ...... # 173

Des Moines, IA

« on: October 23, 2010, 06:22:13 PM »

Officially at 6:45 PM this evening.

Thanks to  Des & Steve(K) for posting some updates.

Here is the down and dirty on it.

I have been fighting pee-moan-ia for the past 6 to 8 weeks.

They discover it in one lung and get rid of it, 2 days later it is in the other one.

Made a couple of Dr visits and on the 2nd one we got checked into the emergency room at Mercy.

Diagnosed with CHF.     Not nuttin to play with.

They got the water off, very rapidly I might say.

Besides my lungs being in bad need of overhaul, my shoulders are acting up also..

So while we were there they looked at the shoulders.

Left one needs replaced, right one has some nerve damage which causes my hands to not function correctly.

So, when I walked out the door down there tonight I felt pretty good, but by the time I got home I was pooped.

I'll set here for awhile tonight and then finish what I need to do tomorrow and maybe Monday.

So be patient, I'll try to get everyone updated.

Thanks for the cards (ecards), got 38 yesterday and 104 today, so thanks to everyone who send or bothered to take the time to do it.    Appreciate it deeply.

in the words of strider --- Wooohooo!!!  That is wonderful news!

You have to promise to take it easy until your stronger --- please consider trying a different mask so you can use a CPAP --- it will make all the difference in the world once you start sleeping again!

It was absolutely wonderful seeing you today and meeting the Mrs.  Kendall and I were tickled to had the opportunity to visit  cooldude

I don't guess I follow directions near as well as I thought --- got our butts turned around and took 2 hours to find the right road to Freedom Rock --- but no how --- we found it!

Got late on us -- so we just shagged down I-80 and are in Newton tonight.  Will go on towards St. Louis tomorrow.

Check your email --- I got the picture you asked for of Glenn McDole

Got the email and THANKS a bunch.....

It was good seeing you guys also.......   Only thing was, I'd of liked to see Kendall set down, even if it was on my bed next to the wife.

Wife swiped covers from me so it woke me up.   Once awake, I got to go about an hour at least till, I'm ready to flop again.

Directions from the hose-pittle was probably my fault.    I think I told you to take a left when it should have been a right.    Well, I at least helped ya take 2 hours off of you time to be deleted.        LOL...... Evil coolsmiley tickedoff 2funny police

RJ

Welcome home, it's always good to be out of the horse-pital and back in your comfort zone.

Heal fast my friend, my favorite therapy is to go out to the garage and start polishing and waxing! Does wonders for the body and soul!

Take care

You probable had more cards and well wishes than that. The hospitals site would not let me in, I think the system was overwhelmed with well wishers.

Glad you are back home and on the mend.
