One of the guys over at Adventure Rider negotiated a 10% discount for those who want to try Ride-On. I've read enough about it to be convinced it's worth a personal evaluation. If you have tried it and decided otherwise, feel free to share your experience. If you have an opinion based on heresay feel free to comment but be truthful that your opinion is unsupported by personal test. Here's a reprint of the poster over at adventure rider - link is http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310972Check their dosage table - You'll need 3 bottles to treat both Valk tires. They have a 3-bottle kit. Dosage Table (last page): http://www.ride-on.com/pdf/Motorcycle_Kit.pdfPkgs for motorcycles: http://www.ride-onshop.com/cart.cgi?group=0&child=506For those of you that use Ride-On Tire Sealant or want to try it, I worked out a group buy to get 10% off your order. The discount is good for any order of any product. So, here's how it works: Click on THIS LINK http://www.ride-onshop.com/content.cgi and then when you order and it asks for a promotional code type in ridingworkshopHere's my little testimonial YMMV: I really like the Ride-On, I've used it for coming on eight years now. I know it works on punctures, which saves all kinds of head-ache on a trip, because I've picked up nails and been able to keep on riding. I first bought Ride-On because I was planning a big solo trip and was worried about flats. On that trip I picked up a nail. I did my tire check each morning and one morning I'd lost 2 pounds of air. I checked out the tire and found the nail, aired it back up and it kept pressure the rest of the trip (another 1000 miles) with only Ride-On - no patches or plugs. BTW, that was a tubed tire and it sealed the tube - that was pretty impressive and from then on I was convinced that it's good stuff. I also think it improves tire balance, wear and mileage. The few times when I've put on new tires and not used it (because I didn't have any on hand and didn't get around to ordering it), I've found that the tires wear much less evenly and much more quickly. With the Ride-On, I get about 1/3 more wear out of a tire. That makes the extra $$ per change worth it right there. Plus, b/c Ride-On stays liquid, it works as a dynamic balancer for a smoother ride as well. Finally, I've had no problems with Ride-On being in any way corrosive (unlike Slime - bad stuff, stay away) and it handles high speeds with no problems (trust me, I've pushed it to triple digits). It's not even terribly messy when you pull off the tire and washes right out with a quick spray of the hose. So, I like the stuff 'cause it works for me. YMMV but I put together the group buy for another forum and figured some of the folks here might benefit as well.

Mark, check my post on your other thread about the tire plug/patch problem. Ride-on worked for me in a similar situation. It even corrected an out of balance tire for about 9,000 miles. The tire had evidently slipped on the rim. My test run would have been better had I installed it in a properly balanced tire. My result tells me the stuff works. It didn't corrode the rim but it is a mess to clean when you remove the tire. I can see why the bike shop guys aren't fans.

Hi John,
Saw your post. Thx for the comments. Yeah I can see the bike shop guys wouldn't be fans - except maybe on their own bikes. Ride-On says the stuff is water soluble so it cleans with a hose, doesn't corrode any metals, preserves the rubber, balances the tire, plugs big and small leaks, is compatible with all tire repair materials and doesn't void tire warranties. It is pretty spendy but I'm thinking since it increases tire life around 30%, it's paying for itself. My initial reason to use it is to save this Cobra tire. But I'm keeping records, I'll see what it does for tire life. I've heard others say a dynamically balanced tire lasts much longer - with other dynamic balancing products. If this is a win-win product, I'll use it proactively from now on. Yeah a bike shop wouldn't like it - messier to clean up after (MAYBE - Ride-On says it pretty much stays IN the tire - if you toss the tire when it's done, where's the mess? In the tire.) Makes tires last longer = less tire purchases. Stops flats - again less tire purchases, as well as less repairs.

And less worry about being disabled in the middle of wherever. If the tire comes off the rim due to a deflation at speed or in traffic a small air pump or co2 kit won't do it. You're right about the mess, it was mostly in the tire. What was on the rim cleaned off easy enough.
The fact that Ride-on made an unbalanced tire runable for that long is what surprised me. It only penetrated my thick head that I had screwed up two years later. The tire was worn unevenly because of the unbalance and just got to the point where the vibration couldn't be overcome.

I need to add that I've been using Ride-On in my I/S tires (Dunlop E3's) and am very pleased. Additionally, I have the TireGard tpms sensors on both wheels, and the Ride-On sealant does not affect them negatively at all.

I've used ride-on for several years and have never had a mess to clean (I change my own tires). It's thick enough that it pretty much stays where it belongs. I've had old tires sit in my garage for a few weeks before I get around to disposing of them and the sealant will eventually run, but even then, it's never been a problem. Not like the Slime stuff at all.

Ride-On is killer. I wouldn't ride without. Having three young boys, safety is my number one reason. Anything that keeps me from having to potentially use my helmet is worth its weight in gold. It also balances the tires fantastically. Best balance and ride I've ever had. They also have a new program that's really neat. It's called TCP/24. Go to their website at www.ride-on.com and check it out. There are also videos that show what it looks like on the inside, and a demonstration video. I've never had a problem with a mess either. It stays in and on the tire. If you bounce the tire after dismounting or have a particularly percussive bead break, you might get a little on the rim. It washes out really easily with water though. Nothing like the other crappy sealants out there. Totally different animal.

That is when you add it, after the rim is mounted.

Just checked out Ride On's shipping. Cheapest is $16. I don't think so. I'll have to see if I can find someone else that sells it. According to their website the nearest dealer is 55-60 miles away. Marty

I placed an order yesterday using the discount code and got a phone call within an hour from a Ride-On representative encouraging me to use a local retailer rather than pay for the product and shipping directly from the website. He was convinced it would be cheaper from a local retailer. I also sensed that they are trying to establish a retail network and want those who carry their product to get the business. You can check their website for the retail distributor nearest your location.

Have used Ride-on in two sets of tires on my Kawi now and will continue to use it on the Valk this year. As stated in prior post's, it does a great job. Seems to put the finnishing touches on a balance. I never did get a penetration in the tires(2 trips from Chicago to San Diego) so i can't comment on that claim, but I did trust the claims and reviews and was not disappointed
