Hey folks, I am changing out my front turn signals to bullets.   Problem is when I cut the old front signals I find there are three wires to each one (right has 2 light blue and one green wire, Left has 2 orange and 1 green ) but the new bullet lights only 2 wires each (both red).   Now not being very wise about 12 volt wireing, what do you think I should do?

the bullits you purchased are for turn signals only..so right now you have 2 choices. you either just use the turn and ground wires for the turn signals or you buy new bullits capable of being run and turn..which will have the 3 wires.
3 wires will be..1 wire will be hot when key is on..that will be the wire for the run side of the light.
                      1 wire for ground.
1 wire will be for the turnsignal side of the bulb.
2 wire will be 1 for ground
                    1 for turn.

Maybe not.

The lights could ground through the housing.  The only way to know is to test it if you don't have instructions with the bullet lights.

I use an auto battery charger set to 2 amp mode.  If you touch the negative to the light housing and the positive to one of the wires, and it lights, the bullets are designed to ground through the housing via connection to the bike chassis.

Also, it isn't necessary to cut the wires to the originals as they connect to the harness inside the headlight shell and can easily be disconnected and left whole.
