You have a little moisture in the housing so you need to clean out the old grease in your turn signal housing and replace with some new. Then it will work like new..

Are you sure you're not up against the rev limiter at WFO?  Runs really crappy, then.   Grin hoser

If this were posted on the tech board Id say

The symptom you describe would indicate a lean condition.

But since its not. I won't. 2funny

Jess
I have the same problem with "full throttle" on my 99 I/S.  I am going to post on the Tech board (again) & see if someone has any help for us.  Last time it sort of got blown off.  Stan

Sounds lean, but I won't say anything if you don't.

Wrong board.

As Forrest Gump would say:

The turn switch just needs to be cleaned. Mine does this around 40 degrees, esp turning left. sometimes it took 30 seconds. I cleaned mine up and added grease and worked smooth. Did it a few times this fall but I just turned them on sooner.  crazy2

If you read the website for the Pingel it says something like "stop letting your petcock be the high speed jets.  Meaning:  the OEM petcock will not deliver enough fuel at WOT if ANYTHING at all is hampering its performance.  If it is reduced flow for a vacuum leak or something you will feel fuel starvation at high rpms and /or 5-10 minutes at 60 or 70mph where the float bowls are not filling fast enough.

I changed my petcock to a pingle for that very reason. not enough fuel flow for the carbs at wot. plus, you may have a vacuum leak causing this problem. that, creates a lean condition.

it seems to me if it were the pet rooster i would be able to run wide open for at least a 1/2 mile before it starts to starve,,,i can run 60mph in high gear and go wide open and it immediately runs lean,,,back off just a tad bit and zoom,,,,,so i am thinking i will drill out my main jets a couple thousandths and see what happens,,,

K and N filter without the prefilter might make it run lean.  You didn't mention.

Drilling out the jets might help but what caused it to begin with?

i modded the exhaust a tad bit but i wouldnt think that would have caused it,,
i never went wide open before so it could have been this way for years,,,

your petcock will actually hold back the fuel pressure if you are wot. especially with an exhaust mod. might want to consider upsiZing low speed jets...
