hey I got impulsive and go one of these.  It says "Valkyrie" across it and covers the black grate.  It is chrome, and I would estimate it covers over 50% or the origional grate.

Now that I have it on the bike, I am thinking that this might resitrct too much air for cooling.   Any experience with one of these?

I don't personally have one, but I've seen many, many on various Valks. If they caused an overheating problem, I think we'd have probably heard about it here. I've never heard anyone say they've had any problems with them.

i have Mike Terry's (Valk Bling) radiator covers on both Valks. I've had other ones too...for years (yes, OVER a decade!). No issues. In fact, when i got my first one after WWII in 1902 (ok, it was really probably 1998 in the Spring?  Cool ) ....i rode with my buddies and their stock radiator grills...and we rode in all diferent situations....out of town...in town....etc...and kept checking on several rides to see if we could see a difference when the fans kicked on for the radiator. They came on (in town....NEVER out on the road, of course)....within SECONDS of each other. IE, there is no big difference.

MANY folks have been using aftermarket radiator covers for MANY YEARS...with no issues.

this subject has come up over a decade ago...as well as stuff like "do the Kury transmission covers cause overheating?"....etc. And the answer, has always been no....no issues...... cooldude

I did a search, when I first got my Valk, last June, and didn't find ANY significant overheating. I do recall seeing one where the fan wasn't coming on, but I would think that the Valk cooling, if ANYthing, is over-engineered. I can't help but believe the experience of the Wing, would have helped tremendously in this regard. If I could find a radiator cover, that I liked, I wouldn't hesitate to get it.

Big Mike (www.valkyrieblingandmore.com) had them at InZane a couple of years ago... he might
not have anymore red ones...

I have this in in polished stainless on mine in Spain and ride right through the height of the summer (36c+ shade temps) without issues.
