What does the data say?

Corinth, Texas

« on: November 03, 2010, 07:31:58 PM »

As more-or-less agreed to awhile ago, our plan is to join the East Texas chapter at their wrench party this Saturday.

We're headed to the Tyler area.  In order to make it there by 10:00 or so, we need to be KSU from the east side of the MetroMess by about 8:00 am.  What's a good meet-up spot?

Discuss amongst yourselves and post some feedback, please.

I've been talking to myself all day and here's what we've come up with:   Cheesy

We need a head count of those from DFW who are making the trip east.

The other thread shows RainMaker as a definite maybe.  If RM and other Dallas / Tarrant county VRCCers are making the trip, a meet-up at Al's or somewhere in the 635 & 80 area makes sense so we could all ride out 80 to 20 together.

However, other than RM, the only DFW folks I know who are planning to go are in Collin & Denton counties and a 380 to Greenville to 69 to 80 to 42 route makes more sense.

So here's your chance Dallas & Tarrant counties.  Tell us northsiders where to go!   Wink

I have the kitchen pass and will be on the ride.  However, don't worry about where to meet up - I can come up to 380 for the meetup so just tell me when and where and I'll be there, likely freezing but there.

Sorry to miss this.  Julie has an event and I have to be kid's chauffer to a Chuck E Cheese birthday party right in the middle of this fun. I imagine we'll take the bike to the party, but its not going to be the same as the riding you guys will get in.  Should be an awesome weather day after the early hours.

Be safe. I've got another riding buddy in surgery right now after he fall down and go boom - animal related accident in Keller area.

....How bout... Terrell. Take exit# 501 (I-20 and  highway 34)  Starbucks on north side of the exit? Should be on route for everybody from DFW area including me.
That's 145 miles for me and if I leave at 6:00 I arrive between 8:45 and 9:00. I can leave earlier if needed, no problem. TJ

That sounds great.

BnB, Disco, me, and Rainmaker (if he chooses) will meet at Al Lamb's at 8:00 am, with KSU for Terrell at 8:15.  Should put us there about the same time as you, TJ.

Anyone else, or is 5 the final headcount?

Sorry - kitchen pass revoked just now.  Have fun without me.  As I said earlier, my participation was subject to change up to the moment I left.
