I have ridden this road dozens of times, The Silver Lake spur of Seven Lakes Drive, and never noticed this dam before. The water was crystal clear and roaring over the spillway. Too bad I did not have my "Fish Killing Stick" with me. I swear you could smell the Yellow Perch!

The road there was a little dicey due to washouts ruts and gravel, but it had its rewards!

PS: Harriman State Park N.Y. Exit 18 off the Palisades Interstate Parkway

Zoom shot of Dam. Don't ask me why I did not take any pictures from the dam, I am still trying to figure that out!

yep that is part of the route we will be taking during the POWWOW over Memorial Day weekend Bonzo

Was the bridge on 106 that crosses the ramapo river open yet?   That is the backdoor route that I want to take into orange county as it has a curve every 100 feet or so

Also how did the goat trail look last time you were that way

Access to the Goat Trail from Peekskill is still HORRID! The trail itself is still a bit dicey due to the p-poor paving job. Best route would be 87 to the PIP. Perkins would be nice that day, but a Saturday May 30? It would have to be early.
I went all the way to old 17 on the road, that's the silver mine spur, the first right off Tiarati (sp) circle. The other road to Sloathsburgh I did not do.
I figured for the ride we could do that route through 7 Lakes over 17A to the Black dirt maybe hit a winery then do the scenic route to Hawks Nest /Rt 92/ Delaware, Depending on how long you want to make it. We could end up in New Paltz via 209/ 44-55 !! There is good food at the winery and up Rt 92.
