Drunk Indy Cop Accident Report

After the Indianapolis Police botched the accident investigation of Officer Bisard, who was driving drunk and killed a motorcyclist back in August, the Police Chief asked the FBI to investigate assisted by the department's Professional Standards (Internal Affairs) Division. The report was issued two days ago. It's 46 pages long. Too big to post so here's the link:

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Not saying all the f@#* ups were on purpose to protect a fellow police officer, but it sure makes you wonder. Collecting evidence and then going to Hardees for lunch before checking it in? Can you say OJ boys & girls.

Really didn't matter cause the chain of custody wasn't broken. The problem was the law had changed on who was allowed to draw blood and the phlelbotomist wasn't allowed anymore. Plus the state law required it to be done in a hospital not a clinic. The cops were following the IMPD protocol for minor injuries. Unfortunately, the protocol for blood draws on a driver suspected of being drunk was violated. In the officers' defense, they didn't suspect Bisard was intoxicated but neither did the Emts or other medical personnel who came in contact with him.
