There has been favorable discussion the last two meetings about opting for a Saturday Afternoon Christmas gathering instead of the normal December meeting. The idea would be to pick a central location such as Irving and have a lunch gathering. It seems winter meeting run a little thin on attendance between the weather and the holidays. I know it conflicts with the parade in Terrell, but it seems like the most logical weekend.

I would really appreciate hearing from the club on this idea, especially all our friends in the outer regions that we don't get to see so often.

What about having the Christmas Party in Terrell at the parade? Or do the parade and have the party at the Cotton Gin? Two birds with one stone and all.  It's a nice ride and frankly, the majority of riders are on the east side of the metromess.

I suggest that, if we choose to gather on the 11th, we do the parade as the club event.  I've never done it and what could be more festive?

Or, if it's a central location that's preferred, we do it on either the 4th or the 18th.

If that's not confusing enough, we also have the 5th, 12th, and 19th to consider for a non parade-conflicting time.

I talked to Doc at the show this weekend. The parade should be over in plenty of time to still make an afternoon gathering possible. I think using the parade as the December ride would be a good idea. I'm not as big a fan of the Cotton Gin for lunch although I like their breakfast.

If you're talking about the Cotton Gin in Crandall, I thought the CFS plate was pretty good.  And comes with homemade , fluffy, yeasty rolls.   Mmmmmm.  cooldude
