I went for an invigurating 46 degree ride in between the rain storms here in the State of Jefferson and after refueling my starter switch started to hesitate and took two to three times in hitting it to get it to turn over without disengaging.  I presume the starter switch needs some TLC.  I seem to remember a thread on this subject.  Can anybody point me in the right direction.

Top of this page click on Shoptalk, then Starter Button.

I would also highly recommend the relay installation covered farther down in the write-up. It substantially will cut the amps passing through that switch, the main cause of it going south on you.

There's a section in Shop Talk that goes into servicing the switch. http://www.valkyrieriders.com/shoptalk/VSGPages/starterbutton.htm
