I just went to Microsoft's website to check to see if I needed any windows updates and here's what was suggested....

High-priority updates
This update can have system-wide effects or address more than one problem. It must be installed separately from other updates.
We recommend you install it and then return to our home page to check if your computer needs other high-priority updates.

Microsoft Windows XP

Windows XP Service Pack 3 (KB936929)

Seems like I remember RJ saying his pc didn't work too well after doing that??...I'm not even sure what a Service Pack 3 update does??...

Most computers run fine with Service pack 3. It has allot of added security. I have been running it for quite some time. However it’s best to create an image of your pc then install it. If you have any problems after the install. You can always go back to the old one then.... I use Ghost Software at least once a month to create an image, so when I mess something up. It's about a 20 to 30 min operation to get back to where life is normal again....

Two computers here at La Hacienda Scooterville at one time both were running XP with service pack 3. No problems with either. Since I upgraded my computer my computer guru put Vista on it and I have had none of the problems that I feared and heard about.  ???
