I have made a few portable tire balancers on an NC Lathe at work for a few of my ridding buds uglystupid2,at least the ones that do their own maint. I was going to package them with a selection of wheel weights as xmass gifts. Has any one here found a good source for adhesive type wheel weights. I have priced them at No-Mar doesn't seem to bad but I'm a cheap SOB . So If any one has a link or place to get the killer deal please let me know.

Mine are inside the tire.....(dyna-beads) never lose them untill you need a new tire.

NAPA auto parts sells them by the box.  I have never lost one.  Clean the wheel real good with some windex and they stick like glue.

I had the stick ons on the fronts but took them off due to to much bounce. They stuck really well. I have no weight on the front. OEM on the rear.

Thanks, I have a harbor freight near my parents in the city, I will have to check it out. I have lost one stick on weight. I figured the surface was dirty, never happened again. Fudgie You still have the original OEM weight on your rim? I know you have had multiple tires on it ,aways balanced out oK ?

Yea on the rear. My tire guy left it on. Had to move it once I think. I have no weight on the front. He had 2 oz on it one time and was bouncy. Took all them off and ran it. I been weightless for 2 years and that includes 2 runs to Sturgis. Been into triple digits with no effect. Tire looks great. Some of the stickey tape residue is still on the rim so if I ever need to add some I know where it goes.  crazy2

Yep... and if you have a local Hobby Town USA or other hobby store, they have those stick on weights for Pine Derby and/or RC plane/car use.

I bought 2-3 ea of the various sizes that Honda uses on the Valk - the squeeze-on ones that grip the ridge in the middle of the wheel.   Every time I change a tire I pull the weights and rebalance, put the used ones back on.  It's a one-time purchase and they don't cost a lot.  Now that I've started using Ride-On which dynamically balances, I anticipate still balancing as before, but adding Ride-On and letting it dynamically fine-tune the balance.  Reports I've heard of 30% increased life from dynamic balancing, I am eagerly waiting to confirm.

MarkT .I'm running a set of your exhaust on my standard. Used to be on the I.S. sold them off my I.S to a guy that owned a standard. He wrecked the Standard and I bought it . Man they sound good on a Standard, But were to much in the dead air space on the I.S. I think I'm going to go with a 36" truck stack on them this winter. By the way, fine product. Thanks

Those are the good weights... and easily reusable/replaceable.    cooldude
