Seeing what was offered. Still the same except for the color. Saw a yellow V-rod. I like yellow. Came accross a phycodelic purple they call it. Its kinda pinkish purple. Then they had a baby blue that caught my eye. Not bad colors so far. Then I see it. a Dark root beer over light root beer, metalic. Gag!  Shocked It reminds me of the old Honda brown, but worse. I couldnt take my eyes off of it. 'Oh my' I said to myself. Looks like a wet terd. I didnt like the watermelon color a few years ago till it grew on me but I dont think this one will. Eh, still neasous.

Aren't you glad that you have a Valk and don't have a need to trade up a year old Harley..

Might I inquire the reason you were checking out the much inferior, over priced, out sourced,

two lunger, overly touted, under powered, attitude changing of they are the best and well

you get the picture.

Why the interest.

I have one of each a Honda and a Harley.

The Honda is the more superior but underproduced and no longer made machine.

I have been thinking Gold Wing lately and why can't I have a nice set of headers to make it loud.

Hey Fudgie, I take exception to your description of the brown one. It's spelled "turd"....not "terd."   2funny  2funny

I also saw one in the showroom recently and it struck me the same way.

I rode along with a HD-Rocker today for about 100 miles. Nice looking bike. Clean, simple, no fripperies. Enough rubber in the rear tire to make 5 or 6 KLR front tires  Shocked

Always loved the HD shops. I like looking at the bikes. HD has far better open houses and demo rides. They got alot of 'newspapers', Hogpress or what ever its called, to read about the cycle world and there free. Alot of of poker runs/benefit rides are posted there to. Plus they carry my favorite rag, 'In the Wind'. Or a occasional Bagger or Easyrider are also sold.
Cant tell you the last time I went to a Honda shop. Well I take that back. There is one next to a HD dealer I go 2 twice a year. Thats the only time I go. Last before that was in 08 in Spearfish SD.  Embarrassed

OMG

Don't tell me you road a Rocker.

They should give those Blankity Blanks away for free.

Willey G oughta be strung up by the family jewels for producing that POS.

Unbelievably Ugly.

But they make some aftermarket kits to make it right, but why.

Should they make it that way in the first place.

American Iron first three pages are usually dedicated to fixing this damn thing after the fact.

In fact, I was in a H-D dealership today also.  Although, I wasn't there for the bikes; I was picking a used bead blasting cabinet that they had on C-L.  While I was waiting in the service dept to get the machine loaded, I was listening to a conversation between a customer and the service manager about his defunct $1000 radio.  Apparently, this was his 4th one on the bike and this only lasted two months.  This has apparently been a recurring problem on Harleys and they were wondering what was causing the problem.  I didn't have the heart to point out that the iron age vibration of a Harley engine was probably killing their radios. Evil uglystupid2  This dealership is really unusual as it handles BMWs and one of the Korean bikes also.  My son was with me and we did check out the bikes.  The Beemer adventure bikes are interesting but I have read about many mechanical issues with them.  Otherwise, there was nothing there that was of any interest to me.  Nice store though.

The Radio Problem is nonexistant.

I have a FLHT and had a radio installed.

Harmon Cardon and it sounds magnificent.

It skipped a little on the 1st CD I tried , but after that it has worked flawlessly.

It sounds so good, my Honda Buddies are a little jealous.

Mine has only two speakers up front and it will blast a fellow out so as you have to turn it down

a bit or go deaf.

Like it.

I stopped at a Honda Shop today... for about 5 minutes. I wondered if they had one of these...
I guess it will be a few more months...

I agree about some of the HD shops. The Bloomington HD shop comes to mind. Good people, always friendly, a bench to set on in front of the shop. I nearly always stop when I'm riding through there, get a drink and sit on the bench for a break.

The Terre Haute, IN Honda shop is also a great place to stop. They relocated a few years ago and the new shop is huge, they handle the big four jap bikes. lots of accessories, friendly and a great place to stop for a break. Not many good roads in the area though.
