My Obsession

Coolidge, Arizona

« on: November 21, 2010, 04:57:12 PM »

Thank you all for the warm wishes and prayers you sent my way during the last week.   angel  For those that have been here you know what I've been through --- for those of you who have not --- I pray you never do!!

I was perfectly fine Tuesday morning and in ER by Tuesday night having CT scans and being admitted.  Talk about slap a soul out of the clear blue sky ----  tickedoff

My mom and Aunt have had Diverticulitus but I never understood their pain --- I'm here to tell you I damn sure do now!!  I've not been this miserable --- not even when we had to remove my gall bladder!

Nonetheless --- I'm home --- still very much a basket case and moving extremely slow -- but I did manage a shower and I'm eating a little.  I guess it's a good thing "My Obsession" is down right now I don't have to stress about not being able to ride ---  tickedoff   (now it's Valk related)

Again -- Thank you all for the wishes (RP thanks for the visit that was awesome & totally unexpected)   cooldude

Safe winds my friends - I'll be back in that saddle soon   coolsmiley

Glad to hear from you. Smiley Just take it easy for now, and I will save a little wind for you.

Des, take it easy and heal slowly.  Trust an old Marine and do as he says.   Not as he does.

Des, I had my big bout with diverticulitis in 1984.  I was at work .  I hurt so bad that a co-worker had to ride my '82 900F home for me. They thought it was appendicitis, it wasn't.  It was peritonitis from the diverticulitis.  As you know, that was the worst time in the hospital that I ever spent.

I've had small bouts with it since but my doctor said it best: "you can never get too much fiber" .
It works for me.

I'm glad that you're feeling better although you'll feel lousy for awhile, i know that too.

I'm still praying for you.
