Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I think some of the people here pissed him off, and I don't blame him for feeling that way. He's a good man and a hard worker and to be passed over for a promotion after working so hard really sucks. Hopefully he will return......

So, what you are saying is he is a fair weather friend?  I hope that isn't true.  He posted a frustration, got some comments for it, some good, some not so good.  I can't remember anything that should have made him not want to post anymore.

I am assuming he is probably busy, and leave it at that.

Stanley is one of the most likable folks on this forum, I can't imagine that anyone said anything bad about him.  I think Charlie is right....he has other priorities that have him occupied at the moment!

I called him before the Savannah ride last week to invite him to come along... he seemed
in good spirits and ready to take on the world...

Ya got that right - hope he is just enjoying some wind.  cooldude

There are a bunch of people who need to check in - been missing them.  I hope a bunch of folks are just enjoying the wind and not left.

I feel his wife would be less than happy to read any sentiment like this.

A wild guess here.

He is training the dude who got the job he wanted.

Don't laugh or make snide remarks, it does happen and quite frequently.

A more reasonable guess is:

He is up to his arse in alligators trying to get all the Halloween stuff down, Turkey stuff up, then down and put up Christmas stuff on the town square.

It is that time of the year.
