I called SmokinJoe Sunday while tooling around Knox in the Vette.  Wanted to see if he wanted to get the bikes out.  He told me they were planning a ride to Marlinton, W.Va. this coming Friday after Thanksgiving and wanted to know if I could go.  I grew up in W.Va. (don't hold it against me) and used to do some fishing in the Marlinton area so I told Joe that I would try to make the ride.  Two ways to get there. I-81 to I-77 past Beckley then I-64 East to Hwy. 219 North to Marlinton.  Or hang a right onto 460 off I-77 in Princeton and catch 219 all the way North to Marlinton.  Either way you cut it, it's a 6 hour ride and the temps will be dropping like a rock after Thanksgiving day.  As long as it doesn't rain, it should be a good ride.  Hwy 219 is a good road to ride. I-77 and I-64 are longer but with faster speeds should be about the same time.  Joe was ticket free this weekend and maybe we can keep this trend going if he doesn't lead the pack!  West By God Virginia.....Almost Heaven!  Ride Safe--Home Safe!

Garfield,
Come on over.  I'm sure there is always room for one more!  Or just move East Dude!  Catch some mountain wind with us!

I would consider coming down from No VA to meet up with you guys for this one, but the weather channel says that on Friday, Marlinton WVa is expected to have a high of 36, with a 50% chance of rain and SNOW.  Saturday's high 38.
