Pavalker:

This is a motorcycle discussion forum, of a specific brand... and if you can't or don't want to play in the whole sand box, and opt just to play in the kitty litter,  and don’t want to be a productive participant as whole, why should I (or anyone else here) want to play in your dirt  pile.   I gave you some great links to exercise your preferred MO.  I don’t like to feed trolls and will try to ignore your posts as best I can.  I would recommend others do  the same and maybe you won’t have anyone to argue with and will move on.   Goodbye..

Me:
I'm sorta new here and I don't want to frustrate your senitivities more than they already are by my posting patterns. Until I get in the swing of things, could you help me along by picking  threads that I need to post in to keep a proper pattern? I see you keep a tight ship and don't want to rock the boat.

cooldude
Yes  that would help.
For example, I still visit bmwlt forums. Great place, great people, classifieds, etc.. I'm not the only one without a Beemer who posts there. Nobody has suggested that I take a hike, either, just because of owning a different bike. But hey...I don't want to step on any cyber-toes here.
One person's 'troll' is another person's intelligent debater. When bashing someone, stick to "I" not "we".
Cheers!

Hey guys, we really are a tolerant group and couldn't care less what you ride.  Post what you want as long as it won't offend your mother.  Some folks on here are a little more uptight than MY mother, but that's what makes it such a great forum.  Also remember that the MODERATORS have to read all these posts, so try to at least keep them interesting and avoid the dead horse thing.

Exactly...  I could care less what one rides or doesn't. If you don't have a bike the flavor of the board (or at least an interest in the brand) and can't or won't participate or contribute to any bike related topics ...even about the brand(s) you may have... then you might be better served on one of those other boards that deal specifically with the topic you want to argue or discuss.

Just so you all know, I've had it with this crap.

This took far too long to do; I didn't get all the correct entries; and I failed to properly name the new thread.

I'm just about to the point of doing something about this and anyone who doesn't like it will be politely (or not so politely) invited to kiss off.

I would feel a lot better if ALL, repeat ALL, of our leaders, Senators and Congressman (and women) including Pelosi, Napalitano, Reed, Holder, Biden, Obama etc. would lead by example and subject themselves to this identical scanning, in a public forum, regardless of whether they fly on public or government supplied aircraft each and EVERY time they fly.  "Good enough for the goose then good enough for the gander"

It is ironic that you specifically mention only Democratic politicians, since the TSA and Homeland Security were formed under a Republican administration…

I think he clearly stated ALL, repeat ALL, of our leaders, Senators and Congressman (and women)... then he went on to include those more familiar "current" politicians by name which are in fact democrats.  By stating ALL , I'm pretty sure he was including Republicans, Independents as well as Democrats.... and by specifically citing those by name I think meant that he didn't want to exclude them... or have them exclude themselves.... since the "body scanner" is being implemented on "their watch" so to speak.  But that is just how I read it....

Aside from that, why is it that you only seem to get excited and bring a political, legal or religious twist/argument on things... or only respond and stir the pot in those types of posts??  I wasted some time and checked your stats and you only have 2 posts on this Tech Board and the remainder on this General Board, most of which are not Valkyrie or even motorcycle related.

In reviewing  your posts, I have not seen you post any positive or helpful Valkyrie (or MC) related informative contributions to other members on the board in quite some time, but you are most quick to post in any legal/religious/political and similar flavored posts. And you yourself originated and argued in a post proclaiming the message board was in Phase IV as a result of these types of posts... how ironic is that? http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,20301.0.html .  I see you as only more of the problem you addressed, not a solution.  Some might even perceive you  just performing Troll functions, feeding fuel to the political/religious/legal posts and injecting sarcasm or agitating comments/attacks, instead of taking it for what it is .... a somewhat harmless means to vent or blow off steam about an issue or event.  Beings you don't talk Valkyrie anymore, I am not even sure if you had or still have a Valkyrie (you never post pictures or talk about it any more from what I can see), and at this point I could care less.  But I would like to know how that 09 Road Glide of yours is working out for ya?

I think since you seem to thrive in discussing (or arguing   tickedoff) law, religion and politics..... you might be better served by becoming a productive member at these web sites....
For Legal discussions and advise...  http://forum.freeadvice.com/
For Religious discussions...   http://www.religiousforums.com/forum/
And of course, if you want to argue politics......    http://www.arguewitheveryone.com/
And if anyone else enjoys that....by all means, feel free to enjoy the links as well.  Smiley

And for the OP... if you do not want to subject yourself or family to the scanning or body searches, I can appreciate that and suggest you don't fly, but drive or ride in to visit our country instead.  Unfortunately, since the terrorists don't have their passports stamped with any identifying terrorist identification so we can pull them off of flights, and since some consider profiling a no no, everyone gets the treatment.

thats not fair to bobbo, I post all the time and mine are rarely valk related and mostly politcal in nature. (I don't post much valk stuff, cause I don't get to ride much, but I do have a valk in my garage!)

They are going to Strip search u, your wife, your sons and daughters, pick the age for the kids. So this is acceptible to u?
This is the same policy east germany and the KGB in communist russia used. Are u an American or not? Do u now accept communist police/state policies?

Lets see but the govt sugar coats it for everybody and uses the words body scan instead of strip search and its for your safety and its ok.

So which sounds better to the american fine Americans, Strip Search or Body Scan?

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Benjamin Franklin,

Follow the money, this is mostly about money for the company building the equipment. If it was really for safety then every airport right now would have them. As of now not every airport will ever get them.

Gulfport MS has them, hmmm, the machines are made in OceanSprings ms which is a few towns from gulfport. An hour away from Gulfport is Mobile Airport AL, no machines and no plans to get them. So all of the terrorist must go to gulfport!

http://www.examiner.com/coast-to-coast-radio-in-national/revealing-the-truth-behind-airport-body-scanners-and-the-pat-down?render=print
The Washington Post printed an article on January 1, 2010, calling Chertoff out for using his government credentials to promote a product that benefits his clients. It was revealed that Rapiscan Systems, the manufacturer of the naked body scanner Chertoff was recommending, was a client of Chertoff's security consulting agency.

Don't u love it that they think u are a terrorist until u prove otherwise with a strip search.

On Christmas Day 2009, numerous witnesses watched while Abdulmutallab, the supposed 'terrorist' was escorted TO the plane by several men in suits.

Flight 253 passenger: Sharp-dressed man aided terror suspect Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab onto plane without passport
A Michigan man who was aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 253 says he witnessed Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab trying to board the plane in Amsterdam without a passport.
Kurt and Lori Haskell are attorneys with Haskell Law Firm in Taylor. Their expertise includes bankruptcy, family law and estate planning.
While Mutallab was poorly dressed, his friend was dressed in an expensive suit, Haskell said. He says the suited man asked ticket agents whether Mutallab could board without a passport. “The guy said, ‘He’s from Sudan and we do this all the time.’”

Several actions concerning nakedness (outside marriage where the bed is undefiled - Hebrews 13:4Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

It is a shame and wrong to uncover your nakedness to others. The priests were warned to wear undergarments so that their nakedness would not be discovered when they went up the steps to the altar in their robes. Their undergarments (linen breeches) were to cover from their loins (waist) to their thighs (Exodus 28:42And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:

When the children of Israel made and worshipped the golden calf, Aaron "made them naked unto their shame" (Exodus 32:25And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)

Isaiah 47:3Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.

speaks of the shame of having your nakedness uncovered.
It is a sin to uncover the nakedness of another. This is seen as leading to other sins (see Leviticus 18:6-18 [6] None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD. [7] The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. [8] The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness. [9] The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover. [10] The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness. [11] The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. [12] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman. [13] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman. [14] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt. [15] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. [16] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness. [17] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness. [18] Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.

It is wrong to look on the nakedness of others. Ham's son was cursed because Ham saw the nakedness of his father and went and talked about it (Genesis 9:22-23 [22] And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. [23] And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.

Habakkuk 2:15Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!

speaks of the wickedness of those who get someone drunk in order to "look on their nakedness."
