I was gettin' all excited thinking about doing some preventative maintenance to the ole girl sometime this past weekend...

...then I saw the forecast and when the guy said "high of 80 and no rain" I put those plans on hold.

I ended up riding a little over 100 miles for a milk shake.  Sure was nice!

(Of course, everybody else can rub it in our face when it is 110 degrees here for two or three straight months.  Pick your poison.)

I'll take 110 in the shade any day, versus 20 degrees with the sun shining.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

An amen to that.  Ya know, many years ago on the farm, my grandad imparted a little wisdom to me, when I complained of the heat.

"Boy, you can find a lot more shade trees than fires"

I've found that to be correct.

Go ahead and gloat.  It is 62 in MI (and raining).  Nice and warm though.  I thought I was gonna have to put on sun screen there for a moment.

61 with cold wind today. Expect Thursdays morning low to be 15.  We (the panhandle) are in full fall swing.

Been breaking inch thick ice in the stock tanks for the last few mornings.
Now they say it's gonna get cold for the next few days......
2 to 6 deg Wednesday night with gusts of wind up to 50mph.
And "they" say it will be worse just west of here.

I think I am taking the truck to work that night.

Be patient my friends.  Just be patient.   Smiley

Just when you think we'll never see cold weather, old man winter will swoop down upon us and we'll be digging out the warm fuzzys just to ride to the store and back.  Grin

Well, this is true. But it will be gone a couple days later! LOL!
