I know I've seen them somewhere before, but my rememberer is on the fritz again.  They look kinda like a big U mounted sideways in front of the cylinder head as a sorta crash guard/bar for the cylinder head.

However, I'm thinking they'd work like a charm preventing leg burn from the cylinder head.  Anyone know who makes them....maybe a site link?

No....that's the stock OEM crash bar for the front of the engine.  The one I'm referring to is an aftermarket one that mounts on the side (not sure of exactly how it mounts or to what it mounts too)of the engine and guards the engine's cylinder head covers.

I think this was a Valkyrie Bling item; I'm unsure if it's still available or not.  Check out: http://www.valkyrieblingandmore.com/index.html  Terry

Even if you don't see it on the site, you should ask him, not everything is there...

I was just looking around, me and him should be partners...

I think it's the guy in Austalia or New Zealand that sells Valk goodies.

I found these on evil bay.  These are sorta like the ones I'm thinking I've seen somewhere else, but I don't think that these are them.

Does anyone make another version of this one....that doesn't include the big highway/crash bar like this one does?  I'd like to find something that just guards/covers the cylinder head covers if possible.

More like these.......

Found these on evil bay too.  Supposed to be for a GL1500.  Would these work on the Valk?

When you are at that site you choose :

NEUTEILE
TEILE MITTE
MOTOR/..../....
and then page 4 - there you find the bling that you are looking for (almost 300 euro + Transport from Germany to USA + customs)

No thanks, BF, it is done with pleasure.

If you want to see nice pics of these guards mounted on bikes, please see on theur site "MUSTERBIKES" - there they show 5 or 6 different Valkyries mounted with all kind of chrome accessories and with many detailled photo's - also your guards......... laugh

You will have to dril holes in the existing enginguards to mount these beauties - much success with it!
