Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Mine will be here tomorrow...still putting lights up, so probably won't be able to "play" with them until at least the weekend, maybe even next Tuesday or Wednesday - my days off.

Can hardly wait! I have a set of Cobra Light bars coming, so I have (I think) everything I set out to get, for my Valk.

Windshield - check
stock Interstate Saddlebags - check
Saddlebag rails - check
Hitch - check
Driver backrest - check
Luggage rack - check
Stebel horn - check
Cobra Light bars - check

Yup, that's about it. Oh yeah, CAR TIRE!!!!! CHECK!!!

Not really sure I understand this - whether you are questioning my reason, my skills, or what? You might be a little more specific...

With 45 years of having an immaculate motorcycle record, riding any and every type and class of motorcycle, with nary an incident caused by me (several caused by other cage drivers, no injuries, through avoidance and preventative skills), and you not knowing me, I'm SURE you aren't questioning my skills...

So, please, elaborate...

Not to thread jack what is shaping up to be another car tire discussion...okay to thread jack that...be sure to post pics when you get the rails on!  We like pics. coolsmiley Don't only think, "let's show them what these rails look like" but also "let's show them what these rails look like all over Indiana." I'm sending good thoughts your way. Happy railing.

Big IV,
I'm not sure I know what you are asking.  The rails look good on the Valk no matter what time of year it is.
I picked up some plated Cat grade eight bolts today and will start installing the rails I got tonight.  I will take pics and post them when finished.  I think I will have to massage the bottom bracket just a bit to get them to bolt to the bags, but other than that, I believe they will fit nicely.

I`m not sure what I was saying, except that I think that anyone that puts a CT on a MOTORCYCLE is  crazy2 I said this before you came on board and the "darksiders" put out a contract on me. But, they missed.  Evil

Bernie - I think Big Ivy is saying, he REALLY likes pictures!! Can't say as I blame him, I do, too.

Mine are "out for delivery", which means, UPS can bring them as late as 6:00 out where I live. I'm at work, so will have to wait until I get home, after midnight, to see them.

My only concern is that I have the HitchDoc. I hadn't thought about it, until Fudgie mentioned it. Quite a few people just squeezed the bottom of the bags together, and put the crossmember in place, giving a "V" to the bags. I went ahead and turned a "spacer", and cut the crossmember and put in the spacer, so that my bags still sit parallel to the fender, even with the hitch in place. That added about 1 1/4 inches or so, to the width, so I'll have to work that out of the rails, somehow - I might make two 3/4" spacers, one on each side, or "flatten" the rear crossmember of the rails, but that might crack the chrome, which I DON'T want to do. I'll know more when I see it. I'll solve it, regardless, and if I end up making spacers, and others' need some, I can probably accomodate them.

I'll take some pics, too, BI, on whatever I do...just don't mind the shop, it's a mess right now!

Edit: text removed - and how did that relate to your post, "SKILLS  ??". I mean, that's quite a stretch, from CT to questioning my "skills"...I really must say, perhaps it would be better, if you WERE sure what you are saying, before you said it. Just my opinion, of course.

As for CT's on MC's...they aren't for EVERYone, just the enlightened...  cooldude
