I had to put in for next years vacation time today and picked August 5-20, 2011.  Does anyone know of any Valkyrie events happening during that time?  I have never been to any of them and would like to.  I have a 99 standard I bought new and pretty much ride alone most of the time.  I am in the Toledo, Ohio area and willing to travel.  Looking for any info on event during that time so I can start planning.

You just missed us, Mark.  InZane XI, which is the event you'd most want to attend, is in Bellaire, Michigan 27 - 31 July.

sturgis ......  we will be on the the road ,,, going somewhere , headed to west for a 11 day 5 or six thousand mile ride ..  we are calling it the rock and roll tour pt 2 . got  it there a rock lets roll

Believe me I have missed a lot thanks to jobs that have been just about 24/7.  I imagine I might have to spend a few of my vacations days with my wife of 28 years but if something good comes up she is ok with me being gone.  That is what has made it so great with her all these years.

If you know of something going on please post dates and locations.

Mark - if you don't find an event, there are enough of us around you, to start one! I haven't been here too long, but I have seen quite a few fairly impromptu rides. My biggest plan is to have a "sanctioned" saddle sore under my belt this next year. I've fulfilled the requirements quite a few times, but never officially - figure it's time.

I enjoy camping trips, and might be interested in a few days that time of the year...

Just tossing it out.

As eric said, Sturgis is that time. Usually see a few dozen Valks. I know a place there that a Valk or 2 hangs out.  coolsmiley

By the way, hows the Ohio bike week thing up in sandusky? Is it worth attending?
