I have that red one from ebay.  It works well with my Craftsman jack (the red one...not the yellow one).  Some people have problems mounting it to the bike, but I don't have problems with it.  It goes on easily enough.  The biggest problem I had originally was remembering to take it off afterwards.  Did that once.....no problem remembering to take it off now.   uglystupid2

Here's my "Low Tech" adaptor.  Made it with scrap wood I had in the garage.

I can send you plans if you like. Smiley

Chiefy,

The one you posted in the link is the one I have and it works great.

At least for me, it took a while to get the hang of positioning the adapter between the lift and the engine. I think the main consideration between a permanent adapter and one that slips off, is how often you need to jack up your bike. This particular adapter is temporarily clamped to the engine by two L-bolts. There's a factory hole that runs the width of the engine, on the bottom of engine, that the L-bolts insert into from opposing sides. The bolts don't go all the way through. Neither is it required to bolt the adapter to the arms of the lift. Here's some pics from my photo library to which I added some annotations and graphics .

Same, here. Especially on the "..... no problem remembering to take it off now."

Was thinking I wanted one that stayed on the bike, in case I got stuck somewhere where the shop didn't have a Valk adapter.  Didn't realize the red one from Fleabay wasn't left on the bike.

if you've got access to a welder and a metal band saw, you can make one for about $15.  i made one for myself, and a friend.  i also made this rack that my jack adaptor fits onto.

I have the one that stays on the bike, works great. You do have to spend a few minutes lining things up to get it right. I put the bike on it and use a BIG wire tie
to keep it really stable, especially when I push it into the back corner of the garage by the jack.
As for install, you really need two people to get it onto the bike because you have to loosen the kickstand. It is easier to put on with someone on the bike sitting and holding it up.
