ok, before you watch the video(a bit long) please understand....this may not be what you would call your kind of music. I want you to listen to the musicians, not the music. This band is absolutely the greatest collection of musicians ever to grace this planet. john Myung voted best bassist of all time by his peers. Mike portnoy voted best drummer of all time by his peers( still some argument about that but not by me. I believe he is) john petrucci, one of the absolute greatest, most talented guitarists ever. Justin budress, keyboardest extrodinaire.  James Lebrie. Singer, song writer.

The band is dream theater. been around since 92 or so. dont hear about them because they will not commercialize themselves for fame and fortune. They are real people doing what they do best.

This is whats called an "instrumedley". its a complilation of tons they have done and a few added extras from others. just watch them and listen. dont judge cuz it aint country or jazz. please. open minds all. enjoy

Yup... As you said, I'd never heard of 'em, but they were opening for Iron Maiden this past summer... I didn't pay much attention to 'em, most of the crowd didn't, just the appetizer before the main course, until they started to play...

Everyone paid attention to 'em then!

I was very impressed with 'em live and have picked up a few of their albums since then...

Yup, they've been around for a while. I don't listen to the often, but they have been a consistent band for quite a while. Thanks for the memories Dogg.
