Bailey has been home for over a week now.  Seems to be doing very well.  Her appetite has returned, and she's eating 4 times a day.  Plus eating her regular dog food, which she was not doing for a while.

She has renewed energy, and is playing with the other dog, PLUS the extra I am watching for Squealey this past weekend.

She has a big scab 3" diameter on her chest that the vet doesn't know what it's from.  But it's doing a lot better as well.  All the swelling there has receded and it's healing fine.  She is on antibiotics still, but a renewed dose for that specifically.

She was 60.7 lbs at the Vet last Monday, and she was 63 this past Friday.  So she's piling the weight back on.

All in all... she's a LUCKY dog, because, and I know a lot of you would think me an ass for this, had the Vet told me $3250 up front... she'd be worm food now.  I am glad she made it, and I am sure we'll appreciate her more in the coming years.

I know this is not a great picture, but I snapped it on my phone the other day.

Awwwww...I can tell from the look on her face that she just heard you say "worm food."  Angry police Wink

German Shorthairs are great dogs. Coupla friends at work have them and hunt with them and they're very sweet-tempered. Really glad she made it through.  cooldude

Glad to hear she's doin better.
They are such a big part of our lives.
Sometimes they take up too much of the bed.
Thats OK, the wife dosent mind sleeping on the couch.
California king bed, add a Jack Russell, theres no more room. Go figure.
