I got a letter from Progressive today stating what discounts I was getting & not getting on my policy - which I have had for over 8 years.  It advised me in that if I had a MC endorsement on my drivers licsence, I would qualify for an additional discount.  I did not think I could even buy MC insurance without having MC license.  Anyway, I checked my policy on-line, up-dated my profile to show I was licensed, & will be getting a small refund.
Those of you with Progressive might want to check your policy.  This may be something new.  I really thought they knew I was licensed.

Well sure they will take your and sell you insurance on your bike. Read the policy and it will probably say somewhere that non-licensed riders means not covered in case of accident.

I've been telling my unlicensed riding brother that for 9 years...
