Just received the two VRCC calendars I ordered. It's a fantastic collection of beauty, glad I ordered them. The extra copy I intend to send to a handicapped grandson, now 27...he's been wheelchair bound his entire life through no fault of his, all from birth. As a young teenager, his dad and I lifted him onto the back of my '92 Wing. We strapped him in so he couldn't possibly fall off, found a helmet close to his size with headphones in it, then off we went. I've not seen a grin that big on a kid's face my entire life, and it was "go faster, gramps" the whole ride. I could hear him in my helmet headphones, what an experience for both of us. That's the closest he'll ever come to having a bike of his own, and he's nuts over my Valk. I picked up a Valkyrie T-shirt at Johnson City a couple years ago, had a small Valk on the front and a big one in back. I gave it to him and he wore it backwards to work, told me nobody could see the back when he's in his chair. Over the years, I've picked up some other shirts, trinkets, etc., whenever I've attended rallies and given them to him. He still has the last calendar I gave him, and has printed out a handful of Valks from the VRCC site...ones he likes. Even with a physical handicap, no use of one side of his body, he graduated from high school at age 18 with everyone else his age. I traveled to Illinois just for that ceremony and when his name was called and he was rolled across the stage, it brought the house down. He has outlived all the drs. expectations, thanks in no small part to my second daughter....his mother, and dad. This is a great calendar to add to his wall, and a big thank you to the staff for the quality and choices within.

Thank you, John, for putting the calendar to such fine use.  I hope your grandson finds every month exciting.

And thank you for your support of the VRCC.
