AZ NYD 2011 Ride Plan:
Thanks Des for making the plan!

*** RIDE PLAN EDIT ***
Roads are supposed to be iced over... and some may be closed.  So the plan is changed.

Meeting place is the same, but time is changed.  Meet 9:30, roll @ 10:00

8:30 a.m:  Meet at Loves Truck Stop, 7001 W. Sundust Road, Chandler (out near Wild Horse Pass Casino), kickstands up and we’ll roll out at 9:00 a.m.  Recommend everyone fuel up.

South on I-10 to Picacho - east on Park Link Dr. towards Highway 79, Pinal Pioneer Parkway. South on 79 to Oracle Junction where we’ll loop back north on Highway 77 towards Oracle.

Fuel stop in Oracle (should be right around 100 miles). We’ll continue north on Highway 77 towards Globe. Should be in Globe right around 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.

Lunch will be at Apache Gold Casino. Lunch buffet is $10.95 per person.

We’ll take US-60 south from Globe through Miami into Superior down the mountain to Florence Jct., and back into Apache Junction.

Total trip around 250 miles.

Looks like a fun ride.

Where and how did we go that December I was out and rode the I/State?

Seems like it was up a hill, parking lot on ground zero and eating joint about 5 floors up, and walked all the way. then returned back to Phoenix.

That was a sweet ride for me.

We went the other direction... north.  Didn't we eat in Prescott?  BTW... 2nd story, not 5... LOL

Well it won't be 20 -- but we probably won't get out of the 40s!  Low 50s if we're lucky!

Posted an update on the AZ board --- Michael is asking Connie to email the group --- we're going to regroup and take an alternative --- mountain riding & ice don't mix well with Desert Rats!

Nonetheless --- NYD 2011 -- Let's Ride!
