Today's Ride

Just got back from today's ride. I wanted to get a few shots of some bridges I missed to finish off my Florida Bridges and Causeways photo album. It was very chilly, I couldn't get any of my riding buddies interested. I had to go solo, first time in a long time no bikini's at the beach, even the tourists were bundled up.
As soon as I figure out how to post a whole album, I will. This photo editing and posting takes too much time
This is the Tierra-Verde Bridge
This is the Causeway heading into Tierra-Verde, I stopped to get a shot of this sailboat. Looks like he had a little trouble of somekind
Then down to St. Pete Beach & Causeway
Sunshine Skyway Bridge, out in the distance.
Thought I'd throw these in too. The wife took these, just a couple of nights ago and they were still on my camera. I've seen/taken many Sunsets and ride a good distance to see some good ones. This was right out in our front yard and pretty amazing. I don't remember seeing anything quite like it before.
I'm still trying to thaw out, I don't think it ever even reached 60 degrees today.

Nice pics! I've only been down to Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete area once, but loved it. I need to get back down there sometime soon.
Thanks for posting.

Nice pics Doug. Wow, it looks like it was clear down in the 50s (I'd kill for the 50s).
What is so striking to me, it the relative lack of traffic in any of those pics, in what appears to be fairly populated areas. If I don't get up early and go an hour West, it's really not worth going at all because of traffic.

Jess from VA,
There's plenty of traffic!!! and your correct, very populated area and growing at an alarming rate. Oh well, I'm locked in here at least until retirement. There is plenty of good riding to the North and NorthEast of me, that's were we normally go.
Merry Christmas Jess

Great pics, Tundra.
those views over the gulf and bay always look nice. My mom and brother are in Tampa and niece and her family in St. Pete. I have been on a lot of those roads and it makes me a little nostalgic.

Been a long time since I've seen those roads..Was stationed at Homestead AFB , 1982-85, took my old Suzuki GS650G down to Key West..Temps in the 50's would be really nice, but I hated the humidity. Just about got used to it and then got sent to the Philippines .. can't really say that I miss FL..but you can send the warm air up here and I'll send ya some snow??
