Mario,  this topic has been brought up in the past and to my knowledge no one has come up with a whitewall tire for the valkyrie.  Unless you paint it white yourself, you will have to stick with the blackwall tire.       Smiley

Jim C has done it...  Both by first painting them on (poor results), and then by finding some real WW's, in a Bias ply, in a size very 'close' to the recomended size for our Valks...

Here is a pic, of his 'Lead Sled'...

Hope he sees this, and chimes in.

I do a lot of mods to my Valk that others think are hideous, ostentatious, ridiculous and flaming-death inducing, but I wouldn't put white walls on your bike John.

Is that snakeskin or carbon fiber?

Mario,
Here is a link of the last time the whitewall discussion (controversy) came up on the board.

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,23075.0.html

It's a good thing that I did not take a poll before changing my bike to the way I wanted it. It  would have started a flame war to make OIL, TIRES, CENTER STAND, and all the others look tame.

That is what I like about this board, everyone feels free to flame away, but when it comes down to it, none of them would let me stand by on the side of the road because of the color of my bike, or the fact that it has whitewalls. It is like arguing with your brother, you can do it all day long and still be brothers when it's all over.

Personally, I like the look of the whitewalls and I like the look of the bike also. But that is because it's mine, and I made it that way. I have said it before, these bikes are getting to an age where some of them are going to be needing face lifts,. You will be seeing more of the customizing in the future. Even so, there will always be the purists that have to have theirs like the way it left the factory, and there is nothing wrong with that if you like to be like everyone else.

Well, JimC, I like the look.  The color isn't to my liking, but really dig the white walls.  I had them on my V-Star 1100 Classic.

Hey JimC

I like the look, too. That color is definitely different but the whitewalls work with it.

With a little more fender, it would approach the look of an Indian, IMHO.

These are all our Valks and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as we are happy with the ride.

I have to admit that the color is not the one that I had picked out.
I wanted a darker rust red, to look like the red oxide primer that hot rodders used years ago.

I tried a new rubberized top coat so when I looked at the color I thought that it might dry darker but it did not.  I have to admit that it has grown on me though.

Hey JimC, I admit to doing a double take when I first saw your custom at Shanty Creek this past July, but I really like it!  Funny to hear that the color was a bit of an accident.  I assumed there was some sort of creative genius behind the whole thing. Wink

By the way, the white walls rock! cooldude  The only thing missing - to me - is spoked wheels.  Probably next to impossible, but is there any chance for that possibility?
