Looks like what's left after someone butchered a Standard / Tourer valance to fit a Interstate....Truth is no need to do that the Standard / Tourer valance will fit the Interstate without cutting it... I have them on my Interstate.

Anyone know the reporting process???  He's OBVIOUSLY misleading possible customers.

My question sent to him:

"You DO realize that this is a picture of a BROKEN spark plug valence cover??  Which means your description is VERY wrong."

We'll see how he responds.

The seller is "Safari Cycles".  I agree with Hay hauler, an individual or company who takes advantage of the uninformed will screw anyone if they get the chance. Ebay's reporting doesn't seem to have a way to report misrepresentation, I couldn't find it anyway.
I sent a "question" to the seller commenting on their lack of honesty. If they get enough questions to that effect maybe they will grow some intergrity.

Hi All Not to be a crap disturber but what has the seller done wrong? He makes no claim as to what the item is. He states that it is a "miscelaneous chrome cover" but does say to look at the picture because
"LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE PICTURES as they are the primary component in the description... thanks "
If someone bids and buys the item, who are we to judge? Yes it might be junk but looks like none of us are bidding.

I sent him a question and asked what it would take to buy the item now just to see where his head was at.

He replied he wants to let the auction run its course....which is in the law and spirit of the ebay auction process; however, he is either oblivious to the fact it is an un-usable piece of junk or knows it is worthless and expects to sell it to some poor slob that doesn't know any better....

I am going to have to agree with Adrian on this one, the only problem I see is its only one side, kinda hard to find only one side.
This looks just like the one I have for my interstate, I did modify a set to fit my IS, I tried to install them but the pods would not go on, so I modified them per Walt's (Kingbee) instructions he posted some time back.
Here is a pic, looks just like to one on flebay.

My point is that this piece is no good without the other 5/6 of the valance.  Also, this WOULD NOT cost anywhere near $15 to ship!  Well, maybe to Canada.  Smiley

He's got a bunch of stuff on there.  I asked him the mileage of the Valk he got the u joint from.  Almost fell out of the chair when he answered 100K miles.  I'll be staying well clear of his ads.

I agree with Chrome. Stupid people have a right to waste there money too!!

I am amazed at what items bring on Ebay sometimes, except when I sell my stuff!!lol

Maybe the auction is ended because the seller pulled it. There is a guy on there now that has a owners manual for a Rune for 50.00.. The owners manual!

If the internet has done anythin it has leveled the playing field price wise. I have only gotten a steal a few times. I just lucked out mainly due to a poorly run auction.

Nah, it's a con. He knows what the part is (or is not). Some fool has bid on it by the looks.

The other part of the con is the freight. $65USD to send to Australia.........you've got to be kidding me. The part is tiny and weighs bugger all. He'll go on my scammer list.

as with anything you buy off fleabay, research, research, research cooldude cooldude :cooldude:If you do not know what you are bidding on DO NOT MAKE A BID. If the shipping is to much DO NOT MAKE A BID.I have bought several items off e-bay and have real good luck with it. I ask the seller questions, check there feed back and at times even got a phone number and called the seller to ask questions. Remember if it sounds to good chances are it is a scam. Be smart and do your research and ask questions!! Happy New Year to all my VRCC Family 2funny
