Hey Loner I picked up all my mounting systems from Ram Mount. Works for camera and GPS.

I found this (SLIK) camera mount on evil-bay.  It works well and is made for mounting cameras.  I had to bend a little straight iron and drill a few holes to make the mount attach to the bar with a Kury P-Clamp (1").  The iron is now painted black and looks much nicer than in this picture.  The mount has a very sturdy quick disconnect for the camera and the ball tightens down where it is immovable by any reasonable amount of force.  If shooting through a windshield, place the camera lens as close to the windshield as possible to cut down on glare.  This system has worked well for me...JTL

I also bought the Ram mount system. It's universal and very solid. I got if off the internet but later found the same thing at Bass Pro for about the same price....about $33. It has a 3" arm from ball to ball, and the u-bolt clamp will fit up to 1.25" handle bars. Plus it works fine for both video and still cameras. I positioned mine on the right side and shot through the windshield, placing the lens close to avoid reflections in bright sunlight. I don't leave the mount on unless I'm taking a trip.
