Had these laying in a junk room for a few years.

They have an 1 7/8 od inlet. They say 80 db output. These were new in approx 2002
and have never been on the street. Replaced at purchase of a new bike and given to
me, the owner liked me Smiley

Will they fit a Valk I meant to say. I was thinking in place of glasspacks.
Does anyone know the db output of a Tourer ?

It's possible, but don't know how much back pressure you'll have with them. Also will need to fabricate a chrome cover for the transition. See shoptalk articles.

Has anyone ever fabricated a 3 into 1 collector to fit over the header pipes right before they go into the OEM muffler so that someone could put on an aftermarket muffler ?? Hope that makes sense ....

Was hoping for some ideas. These things look real nice. Have a friend that runs a bike shop. He said he has a bunch of new muffler pairs. Guys want more noise and buy exhaust systems from him for their new bikes, mostly HD's.
Guess they would fit in a truck stack but would be pretty quiet.

Did the 3 into 1 collector thing when I added the glasspacks to my Valk. If you had a donor set of stock exhaust fabbing up a set would be no big deal. Had my local muffler shop stretch a 2 1/4 adapter pipe to match the stock Valk muffler can. I have thought about using chrome stock mufflers from some other bike but like Cattman said a chrome cover would have to be fabbed to make the transition look good.
If the California "stock only" laws make their way all across the country there will be a mad scramble for re-refitting stock systems back on all bikes. From what I have heard authorities will be looking for the "DOT" stampings on mufflers. I'm guessing they won't be too picky about brand.  Shocked
I have seen some beat up Cobra 6X6 systems available cheap that if I could find a way to make a collector for them I would be in business! Whack 'em off short then add the chrome muffler of your choice, fab a chrome cover, HMMMM..... Might even run better than with the Cobras!

Check out the muffler links on the shoptalk page.  This one in particular converts the three pipes to a threaded coupling => http://www.valkyrieriders.com/shoptalk/QEpacks.htm

Thanks .... I should have thought of looking there. That looks like a good option but prolly go with a longer glasspack similar to Mark T's (18" ??)
