My bride and I are staying for a couple days at Shanty Creek. When I checked in tonight, I mention that the bike club I belong to held their Rally here. WOW! What a reaction. Both the girls at the desk SCREAMED "The Valkyrie club!?!" They then went on to tell me that the VRCC was the VERY BEST group they ever had here, bar none! I can't begin to relay everything they said, but man, did they ever go on and on about what 'sweet, nice, great people' were up here this year. It lasted 10 or 15 minutes. . . . .  I just thought you folks who were up here would want to know what impression you left. I promised them I'd be up at the next one. The one gal mentioned the Blood Drive. Apparently that REALLY impressed the local folks. She said when she got off work though, the drive was over. (Her only complaint)

The staff there is just awesome and they are great to work with!  The people at the front desk are great (and you can tell them Motomama said so)!  I am really looking forward to going back there and seeing them all again!

I'm hoping to make it back to Shanty Creek again and maybe bring two wheels this time.
Lots of good stuff to do and watch.

If it was'nt $ 7.00 to make the pass I could do a entire day just going back and forth across the bridge  Smiley

PS - One of the gals put on frown and said she couldn't get off work to take a ride on one. She said she REALLY wanted to , , , and vowed to ask next summer. I assured her she would have a few dozen VRCCers more than happy to take her for spin  cooldude

We arrived in the dark last night . . . and saw the view from the main restaurant this morning. Wow! Pure Michigan! I also had to run into Bellaire, so I was able to scout out the roads! I've been 'past' this area a few dozen times and I feel that within a 100 radius are some of the best bike roads in the midwest. Great choice in picking this area. This year some medical issues stopped me and my bride from going, but next year, Lord willing, we'll be here. As soon as the registration opens, I'm committing us to going  coolsmiley

Hey Smokinjoe; I'm looking forward to finally meeting you. I don't drink, but I'll buy you one!
