With the talk lately about gas prices in various parts of the country, it got me wondering what BRAND of gas is most popular around the USA. Maybe it's not the one you buy, but which one seems to have a monopoly in your area. Here in North East Indiana the winner by far is Marathon. I don't like to buy their fuel because they seem to be the "price setter" around here. The first to raise prices & the last to lower. So, what's the major brand in your part of the country?

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

BP, marathon, and Sunoco. Funny thing is that I always see Johnson petroleum (big local gas delivery) deliver to multiple gas stations of different brands.   Undecided

the big one around here is QT. i buy my gas from U-Gas(different brands mostly phillips 66).
cost is lower by 5 cents for cash, and they are very busy(lots of gas turnover).

The Speedway is pretty busy around here but I often go to the Admiral because they're the last to raise their prices and the first to lower them. I also like to frequent the Valero and the Murphy's at Walmart because I know both of those companies (Valero and Murphy's) are American as is their gas....at least..that's what I read on the internet so it must be true  Wink

We deliver gas to all kinds of stations for a variety of clients in Ontario and Quebec. At the terminal the gas is blended with ethanol and different additives depending on the customer. The type of gasoline at the stations has nothing to do with the carrier, we are just a transport company. I prefer using Ultramar premium, no ethanol in the blend.

Lots of options here in the midwest but for me it's 50/50 between Q-Trip & Phillips 66.
