I just gave my bike it's annual bath, aired up the tires, changed the oil etc... I noticed the Honda OEM oil filter was about a 1/4" shorter than the Honda filter I took off. Same filter and part #??? Anyone else notice this? I've been using the OEM for years, never noticed this before. ???
Now I see my chrome oil filter cover no longer fits the Honda filters, something has changed  Angry

They switched to the gold wing filter, it is smaller, forget oem filters, you can get filters that fit almost anywhere, all brands, some with extra capacity. Usually at half the price.  A lot of folks like purolator, I use the Walmart filter. Here is a link.  Hoser

I use a CarQuest filter made by Wix. About $4. It is exactly the same size as the OEMs I've bought for years. cooldude
