Hello Friends,
I recently found a Tourer with my name on it! I am new to the forum and so far I couldn't be more impressed. These machines are going to be around for a long long time. Amazingly it will be the community that keeps them alive. I am very proud to be welcomed into this group. Please see my post in the general posts area about how I found my Valk. I am looking forward to my first Valkyrie wrench session next month. (free food). I am lucky to have Two Brothers Exhaust and love those pipes. I don't know what people are talking about when they mention California's stock only rule. Is stock even available any more? I thought everything was out of production. I don't really understand how it will be 10-25 years from now getting stuff for our bikes. Makes me want to run out and start a Valkyrie Boneyard. Anyway, I am looking forward to finding some of you 'down the road' in the near future.
 Thanks,
   Blotar

I wish I could, but my logon ID  Password doesn't work at Photostash. I have a note in to the Moderators to bail me out with some kind of solution.  Sad

Bruce, welcome to the Texas VRCC Board. You will find a good group of valkyrie riders here. Even though we are separated by many miles in Texas, we still find a way to stay close as a group. There are many rides, wrench parties, and out of state get togethers. Jump right in, the water is fine.

Hey Bro, Welcome to the club.  These are a great bunch of people.  I have had mine since November 13 of 2010.  A lot of people have guided me in a lot of the little things about my Valk.  This is the best club I have ever been a part of.  If you need something don't hesitate to post it on the board.  These people know their stuff about the Valkyrie.  Be safe have a Great New Year and God bless ya.

Welcome, Blotar and Mario.  It's really nice to have new members joining after they are adopted by a Valkyrie.

Of all the motorcycles I've ever owned, none has been as reliable or gets more attention from admirers than my 2000 Interstate, which adopted me when it was new.  (Guess it didn't know any better. 2funny)

You'll get different opinions on the Texas board but most are good natured and helpful.  You may also go to the General Board, but be careful there - it takes only a small spark to ignite the flame wars.   Evil

Why Honda only made this model for 6 years is the source of much speculation.  I am just grateful they made it long enough and at the right time for all of us to be adopted by one.

Congratulations on your "new to you" Valk.  Go to the first wrench party that you can and you will find out all the tricks you'll need to know about keeping the bike running like new. cooldude

Rainmaker,  Honda has always surprised me on their intellegence(or lack of) uglystupid2 on the production of certian bikes and 4 wheelers.  The Pilot was one of the most bulletproof rigs they have ever built. It was the little brother of the Odyssey.  I saw the pics of a Pilot that landed upsidedown from a 10 ft or so drop.  The guy just crawled out, turned it back over and rode off.  They only made the Pilot for 2 years.  Same as the Valkyrie I/S.  My Valk will be my last scooter that I buy.  Well, maybe get a Tourer later on down the road.  I have done research on this bike for a few years and found that riding a Dragon is the ONLY way to go for me.  Be safe, Happy New Year, and God Bless you. angel

Congrats on the new Valk. Don't worry about parts there are plenty of people that will have them stockpiled. I have an 84 magna and still get parts for it on Ebay mostly. I plan on making the Houston wrench party on the 8th. Hope to see you there.

I got my GYTT today! WOW it is very kewl. I have often been called Larry Sherwood. But enough about that, what is going on in Huffman? Hey Green Lantern57, are You going to the tech session? You know how bad the traffic can be at 6:00 am in that giant metropolis. If you are going we could cruze on the beltway Saturday morning and get some breakfast before we get there.

I would look around for a good set that is cheap.  Like $200-$300 for a set of stock pipes.  They keep good in the garage if you don't let them rub on each other in the storage box.

Good luck on the hunt..
