   Shocked Shocked
Went for ride up in mtns today just to see how it felt riding in cold.  Was 37* here in desert this morning.  Went up to Joshua Tree about 3000' to Honda dealership to see if they had o-ring for filler bolt for final drive.  didn't have it so I came back changed oil and o-ring looked good.

So I want to take a short ride after changing final drive oil and head out to lookout point about 15 miles away.  2-3 mile stretch straight away before I head up in mtns.  2 moto officers pulling people over with radar.   The first one has his radar on me and the 2nd is about a block down the road.  i wave at both and the first guy is right out after me with his lights etc.   Embarrassed Sad

I pull over and he comes up next to me and starts talking.  I have full face HJC modular helmet (that i got a couple months ago.  great deal on recommendation from this site) and ear plugs, so i can't hear a word and just point to my ears and tell him to give me a minute.

Well, I get helmet off and earplugs out and within 30 seconds i know he is not giving me a ticket.  cooldude cooldude  he said i was 68 mph in  a 50 mph zone and that the other cars were just following my lead.  i told him i was trying to get away from a tailgaiter.   Evil Evil He said he knew I was just cruising along and that he couldn't give tickets to the cagers if he let me go.  Asked how I liked the helmet and said his dept. was trying to get similar ones for the bike officers.  Told me to be safe and slow it down.  Never even asked for my license.   Grin Grin Grin

Glad I didn't finish out year with a ticket.  HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL AT VRCC!!
