Hello
I have  a Mustang seat and passenger pillion. I want to use the bike with a solo seat most the time.

I do not want a  solo bar. I do want a passenger back rest . So it was suggested that Corbins have a built in passenger backrest. I was wondering if anyone had any experience putting a aftermarket plug in backrest into a mustang or anyother passenger pillion.

thanks

I have a Utopia backrest and love it. Its easy to install and has a lot of adjustment in  it by using the adjustment srcew. The quaility is outstanding.

I have a Utopia backrest that I use with an Ultimate KingBoy seat on my 99 Interstate. It works great and really supports my back especially on those long rides. I give it 2 thumbs up.     cooldude        cooldude

I could never get comfortable using hiway pegs on my 99 I/S. I added a Utopia backrest and now it's like riding down the road in a big ol' Lazyboy. Best addition I've done so far.

I have, and LOVE, the utopia back rest.

However, a warning...the passenger pillion provides some additional support for its bracket...the steel of the pillion seat base going through to the back of the fender helps provide some stiffness.

if you remove the passenger pillion and run the utopia, you can tear out the mounting bolts where it attaches to the rear fender.

This is known as the "Serk cut" since it was pioneered by my 9 foot tall friend, Serk.

edit:
here's the last thread I recall about the "Serk cut"
