Anybody ever have one?
A friend of mine from work had one a few years back and sold it to his friend who now is selling it because he has the itch for a new bike has 74,000 miles, after market shocks, windshield, bags, and other little goodies he wants 3000 but will take less with a little talking.
I want to get my youngest son on something and get him started he has been riding in the dirt for awhile now the bike is a 94 what do ya think?

My cousin is a Beemer fanatic and has owned over 15 Beemers since 2001 (Always trading up and down) and I've learned a lot about them from him. He never had a K75, but from what I've heard, the K75 is a more desirable bike than the K100 and it's more smooth running. Very solid...IF it has the anti lock brakes, they can be a little dicey as they were a first generation - just use them like regular brakes. They pulse real bad under hard braking, but they work. The motor is very solid. They can smoke a little when you first start them up because it when it leans over on the side stand, a little oil gets past the rings. It doesn't hurt any thing, but the Yuppies who bought them in the 90's didn't like that and that was one reason they didn't sell like crazy. Not are real power house, but dependable, comfortable... a pretty good starter bike. There is a cult following for those among die-hard Beemer fanatics.
Good luck.

I owned a 1988 K75S before the Valk. It is what I traded to get the Valkyrie. The "S" model was called "the gentleman's sportbike". It wasn't gawdawful fast, but plenty of power to get you in trouble if you so desired. It was a decent handling bike, I made many trips through the "Dragon" on it. It was much more enjoyable to go through the gap on that Beemer than on my Valk. All of the K75 models had the same engine, and I think maybe the same frame. The difference was in the seating position and wind protection on the different variations. Mine never gave me a minutes worth of trouble. I owned it for 7 years & just needed to make a change. Kinda wish I would kept the 'Ol Girl.

The K75 was one of the finest bikes in it's day.
Offer $2500.00 if all the electrics work and the muffler is in good shape.

I rode a K100 for yrs before the Valk. In the BMW world they claim that BMW discontinues the K75 because it just wouldn't break down. Bullet proof engine.
