The weather overall has been pretty tolerable and I still have not had much opportunity to ride so I am itching for a good one. Let's start the discussion now and we can finalize plans at the January meeting.

It might be a good time to head back to Edom for some pie.  Always a favorite spot!

Edom does sound good. Any ideas for a starting location.

If it's a Saturday, might start at Al's after they open?  Grab a little coffee  there (cold caffeine for me) and head out after the frost has melted?

I think this is a Sunday month - at least I hope so as the 22nd is out for me - gotta' take momma to the airport at noon.

Kinda' depends on the route as to where to start.  Al's as a start point runs into some problems with the service road traffic, the number of lanes to cross on 635 to get to our turn off point and a lot of super slab riding in formation.

For Edom, a good start point is the TA Truck Stop at 205 and I-30 in Rockwall.  Or at 205 and 80 in Terrell.  IMHO.

Thanks for clarifying the day, Mark.  I'll miss the pie if it's Sunday morning.  Worship service before riding on my end.  I need all the extra protection and forgiveness I can get the rest of the week. angel

There is a meeting spot about 1/2 mile east of the 205/80 intersection you mentioned, Mark.  It is a lot more private with pottys, water, etc.  I know the guy who works in the building and he is always glad to open up for fellow bikers. Oh wait, that'd be me!  You guys are always welcome to use this site for a starting point, specially for PIE!!

Doc doesn't serve coffee, Whataburger in Terrell might be a good jump point. It does appear this is a Sunday ride and a Saturday wrench month.
