Ya never know how many good Summers ya have left.

« on: January 05, 2011, 10:08:32 PM »

got this tonight from my brother..... Know it's been around before.... but it's still the truth.....

Twelve things my motorcycle has taught me.

I refuse to tip-toe through life, just to arrive at death safely!

1. The only good view of a thunderstorm is in your rear view mirror.

2. Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.

3. I'd rather be riding my motorcycle and thinking about God than sitting in Church and thinking about my motorcycle.

4. Life may begin at 30, but it doesn't get interesting until about 95 mph.

5. Midnight bugs taste just as bad as noontime bugs.

6. Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

7. A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

8. Young riders pick a destination and go, old riders pick a direction and go.

9. When you are riding lead, don't spit.

10. Catching a yellow jacket in your shirt at 75 mph can double your vocabulary.

11. Only riders know why dogs stick their heads out car windows.

12. I've never seen a motorcycle parked outside a psychiatrist's office.

. . ....ya DH....the New Hope area....Rt 29...32...Schwanksville Airport...was a favorite riding area of Johnny and me....used to love cruising up Main Street in New Hope on a sunny Sunday afternoon ..revving out 6 into 6 pipes for all the wimmin folk...having a 13 dolla burger at Havana,s....or a nice hot cup of coffee and a french treat at the little French Bakery down the side alley off Main....we used to ride over the Burlington Bristol Bridge in the dead of winter and head starigt for that little French Bakery or Starbucks...warm ourselves for a spell...then head up Rt 32 and through the twisties...trying to avoid the black ice at all cost...I remember one year being right on Johnny,s ass as he whipped though those back hills...till he hit a patch of black ice...back of his bike came right around and he got her back to where she belonged...in the wink of an eye....that boy sure slowed down after that little adventure...  Evil

....ahhhhhh...now I went and made myself missing the good ol daze with one of my best friends...  Undecided

One more.

When pointing out a nice ripe roadkill.

Be sure when pointing the toe of your boot at it.

It is above the actual killed item.

Otherwise maggots will enter your buddies faces.

Not good.

Funny, I saw Alph do the exact same thing last summer!

I caught a wasp or something (never did find it) in my jacket sleeve while on the interstate in WV two years ago. What a horrible thing to have happen at speed.
